Here is one of themany ACCO trucks on display at the Australian Army Corps Museum, Gaza Barracks, Bandiana. One of the things I love about these military vehicles is the multi-purpose nature of the design and construction. This guy has a tray bed, equipped with fold-down seats for troop transport. The bed is timber planks between steel runners, so it can take heavy items without destroying the timbers, then there are recessed tie-downs around the edge of the load tray as well as tie-down rings on the outside of the body. There's a winch that can operate from either end of the vehicle and a tow hitch with air-brake connectors. On top of that, it's all-wheel-drive. Im guessing this truck has at least had a respray as there is no indication of a vehicle number. ACCO stands for Australian Constructed Cab Over (ie: cab-over-engine layout).
